How to Reduce Your Anxiety and stop…

Feeling helpless about your situation?  You are not alone.  Thinking about anxiety can just make it worse. Feeling helpless is, unfortunately, a symptom of high anxiety, and it prevents many from taking positive steps. Don’t let that happen to you.

Here are ways you can proactively reduce your anxiety level:

Write in a journal. Beginning a journal can help you express your feelings privately without repercussion.  You can then re-read your entries and gain a better understanding of how to approach the causes of your anxiety.  It’s a way to understand your thought patterns better and to eliminate any negative thought patterns.
Journal / Diary {March 2009}Make sure that you write about your positive thoughts and actions as well as your negative thoughts and problems.  For each problem that you identify, think of possible solutions and how to achieve them too

I do it all the time You can choose to use this ‘bodily ‘ function as an ally you know. Now I know that you sometimes can feel a bit embarrassed about it but I also know that you can relax because here is the research that explains why it is natural and so cool for you.

A study that was conducted by the University of Minnesota concluded that during emotional stress chemicals that build up in your body are able to be removed in your tears.  Unreleased stress cannot only damage certain areas of the brain, but it can increase a person’s risk for having a heart attack.  Therefore, the human ability to cry is therapeutic but is also a survival tactic don’t you know!
